The second of my build reports for tonight.
I have a bunch of fuzz builds to get through, and this was the only one I had parts for before the next Tayda order comes through.
I build this in honour of the burial of Mr Full-of-tone. I am sure he would appreciate a clone of his original design.
I must admit, it is a lovely fuzz and cleans up really well with the guitar volume knob. I used a couple of low leakage Russian Ge transistors in Q1/Q2 ~80Hfe, and a 2N1309 with higher leakage in Q3. The biggest challenges I find with fuzz these days are finding higher leakage options..
I went with the minimalist enclosure route. There is something about having it rough and raw..
