This one gave me a bit for trouble: I had to redo the film free decal after I already clear coated it and I had to unbox the works twice for loose wires. There are many wires and I organized them this way because I used 9mm off-board potentiometers: there is nothing holding the board in place. I snaked the 22 pre-bond wires in areas which allow for board access to diodes but also keeps the board set in this position. As far as putting circuits in the 1590a, there are easier ones. It is tight but there is really only one capacitor in this build that is too big and it is that 1u film cap. You can see I made it fit by bending it over: the cap under it has the legs insulated.
The Tayda 1590a enclosure has been decorated with a film free decal and oversprayed with clear. I used a 3mm freznel LED bezel and tall thin anodized knobs. I thought about the matte blue knobs... maybe? The footswitch is a low profile/compact and the jacks are all Lumberg. The Lumberg input/Output jacks easily fit under the PCB board. All of it easily fits in the 1590a ....kind-of. I like to think this configuration is "one of one" until someone else sticks this board in a 1590a.
The circuit sounds glorious,it is harmonic and it can get close to transparent. There is plenty of headroom. It is definitely a circuit that lovers of overdrive should build. It is harmonically tight but it can get woody and bell-chimey. It rips and I am going to run this one on my board a bit. This is my 110th pedal build.
