My opinion is that this is a fabulous circuit. I have been saying I am not a fuzz fan, but maybe I have been playing the wrong fuzz pedals? This one is overpowered and it has a tight sound. It is not all flubby or un-harmonic. I loved the Sandspur and the Copper Clad, but I would say this pedal may be better than both. To my ears it is a pedal I would rock on my board. I love the circuit and it is built with common components that we all have - including the three 3904 transistors. Unity is at 7 o'clock and one notch more at 8 o'clock you have significant gain. I am afraid to get past noon on the dial. It has gain for days.
I decided to continue with 1590a builds. This one fit pretty easy, but you can see I mounted a few caps under the board. I used a 3mm LED and angled the board down toward that LED; it is my way of getting both Lumberg jacks into place. In the 1590a builds I always use a low profile footswitch and I bend the solder lugs so that a breakout board fits. I also continued using letters that are 1/2 inch vinyl. I put it on the PedalPCB platform before boxing and man, I was impressed by the sound! Boxing was fairly simple.
Have a great weekend everyone, and build something great!
