Yep, I find myself using the battery in my turbo tuner sometimes. I can plug in and tune without turning on my board.
Their marketing copy says it’s good for “1000 tunings”. I bought it over a year ago and it’s still using the same battery.

I like to give my guitar a weekly tuning whether it needs it or not. And for a bass you pretty much can skip tuning since no one will care. Just straighten the tuning heads so you look like you tried.

On gigs, I just pretend to turn my DB's tuners, fake-wiggle them back and forth with a serious look on my face as I stare at the floor, as though listening intently — few seconds of that between every third or fourth song, and then when you raise your head look up and smile with a slight nod...
