This pedal build has taken me on a journey. The evidence of this is littered all over this board like a tumbleweed in the wild west.

Starting with asking Robert a question about biasing on the Taqueria thread, to figuring out how to rig up an RGB LED to the gain toggle, to troubleshooting the weak signal I had after building, to being urged to build a test box to troubleshoot it, and the concentration it took to understand and build that, to discovering my own way to solder JFET adapters comfortably, to finally completing the dang thing.

Love the community here. Thanks for the patient education.

For the artwork, I was clearly inspired by the Man With No Name trilogy. Switch up is the Tacobolt settings: nasty, spitty, dirty (Angel Eyes), switch down is traditional Superbolt settings (Blondie). Rating it 5 stars because while it was my most difficult build to date, it was also my favorite.

So good! Is that a water slide?
Could have been called A Fistfull of Tacos. Gain up - A Few Tacos More.
Yes, waterslide! I used Microsol and Microset, but after a few coats of spray acrylic I can’t tell if it made a difference.

A Fistful of Tacos! That is hilarious! What a great name!

Looks good and works, you can't get better than that.

Ooohhh but you CAN! I just noticed the subtle face between the VOLUME and DRIVE knobs, and then of course the rest of the poncho...

I like it even better now than when I "" it.

Read all the links, too — way to persevere!

Thanks so much. I’ve had a lot of fun learning. I’ve never been an artsy person but have surprised myself how much I’ve enjoyed working on the graphics/theming side of it.
