Rose gold enclosure, mocha aluminum knobs. Stomp Box Parts had W20K potentiometers with a center detent, so I utilized them for the EQ. I had two MC33178s pre-soldered to DIP8 breakout boards, purchased from the shop here. For the third one I ordered a stash of MC33178s and soldered it to a breakout board myself. It wasn’t so bad.

I think this sounds great at both lower and higher gain settings. The EQ is nice, but I would like if it had some more extreme settings. The MID cranked does have a nice bit of honky resonance to it.

I decided to not label the controls because I think it looks classy as a minimal design with this color scheme.

Great looking build. The new Marshall JCM800 pedal, PPCB Eight Ball, is the only other pedal I’ve see. Use these IC’s.

I have the actual MXR version of this pedal and it can rock! Crazy you can find them used for $50 sometimes. There’s a lot going on in there.
