I really like the stock superfuzz that I built on a Moonn pcb but it's never seen much action. While it's a fun time on bass, especially considering the era it comes from, it doesn't actually rank that high on my own shelf of bass specific doom. Getting my mitts on a bassified version was most welcome even though I usually do not enjoy the clean blenders.

My first impression was positive. It's a massive beefy fuzz though I felt like some clean was present at all times. I had seen @johnk_10 mention that he felt the same so I stole his mod using a 500k trimpot instead of his suggested value. I ended up preferring it just shy of maxed out. Now I don't hear any clean at "zero blend." Happy days.

Comparing toans with the stock built superfuzz, the Deep End actually has slightly less bass with out the clean signal. They definitely sound similar while being different enough to warrant building both. The gain control on the Deep End is more subtle than stock. The stock superfuzz changes a lot more before wimping out though I'm not all that interested in the lower gain sounds of either pedal.
