I didn’t investigate this before I built it. I tossed it in the cart on a sale day because it had a cool name.
I could not believe how this thing sounded with such a simple circuit. You can get normal tones, mis-biased gatey fuzz, self-oscillation, octave-down and descending arpeggio glitches…
Not something I would put on my board, but definitely something I would use in a recording session to get fresh timbres.
Super-easy build. 3904, the people’s NPN, which can be obtained for pennies.
Recommend if you like to get noisy.
