Continuing my build with distortion pedals and given the lack of information or demos of this I didn’t quite know what to expect. Well this pedal wants to RAWK! It doesn’t quite have the feel under the fingers or the sustain or the jfet ODs but it makes up for it with immediacy and thump. Just the right amount of distortion and was suprisingly quiet. To my surprise it actually cleaned up pretty well with the volume knob also. Some songs it led me to play were Incubus Wish You Were Here, Stone Temple Pilots Meatplow and White Zombie Thunderkiss ‘65 and some Rage Against the Machine Bombtrack. Very tight, punchy distortion. I like it and recommend it for anyone looking for that! Easy build due to Robert’s brilliant layout as well.
