PPCB Indiana Deluxe Overdrive (wow)

So, having problems with the C2C (still can't debug it so i sent it to a person who knows better to solve the issue than i would  ), i've figured that i needed a stop gap solution for playing/recording direct. Bought this pcb, thinking that i had the original Wampler Tweed and didn't actually liked it (didn't know how to use it i should say).
Back to present day, i saw that there was a really crazy hype about this pedals coming back to production, and i remembered that Tweed i had and said maybe i should try the black one, less drive, more headroom, and the fame of "always on" pedal, saw a couple of comments Brian said about it and used it direct, with Impulse responses and oh boy, it caught my attention. No money to buy a wampler, we apply PPCB ;)

Well, I've put it together finally last night, and holly cow, it does something particularly crazy with my pedal chain. I'm using it at the end, before my IR pedal, after a Boss MS3. I was using a Tube driven preamp (AMT VX Clean, compact high voltage tube pre, Vox flavored), that sounds 3D, but somehow it messes with my EQ settings and can't find a usable tone with the rest of the chain. Using the Indiana Deluxe in place of it, it has improved my drive sounds, my delay and even modulation. Kept saying holly cow in the process :ROFLMAO:.

To resume this report, i'm using this as clean pre with character and let me tell you, for a Hybrid setup user like me is the glory. It just does something to the tone (clean/base, whatever you want to call it) that fixes things other pedals might ruin in the chain.

I've used SMD FET's, seem to work very nicely (though I've struggled to solder those alien tech Basterds), Biased them to approx 5 Volts at the Drain, thinking about headroom but it does sound glorious. Trying it at 18 Volts it does sound even bigger, but a bit more "clinical" in lack of a better term. I may go back to 9 volts for that gritty clean to edge of breakup thig that this little box does. I like it :giggle:

About the presentation, not the cleanest build, I've actually broke the legs of the power conector haha but i was a bit in need to make space in that place so, it was a happy accident ( i may call the pedal Serendipity).

Again, holly cow, wow...the hype is real? Well, perhaps... time will tell if it leaves or stays in the pedalboard.

Are you running all of this into an IR pedal or some fancy device. I’ve yet to venture into the IR or amp emulation field but it would be nice to have an IR pedal at the end of my chain that I could just hook headphones up too. Aux in for jamming would be preferable

I'm actually. I was using a Torpedo Cab M+ that i've sold because it was too much menus and never could get some of it's functions to work properly. Sold it and now i'm with an AMT Pangea CP100 (the little orange one). Maybe the AMT is somewhat "inferior" to the Torpedo CAB in terms of modelling, but having less features makes me scratch my head less and play more. And, somehow i'm more pleased with the sound of this device, that's less advanced.
I've replaced this with an actual tube preamp (C2C Particle Accelerator) but i have the Indiana as a solid state backup in case the tube call it quits haha.

PD: i sugest to use this one with a compressor. The sound is nice, but somewhat "stiff". It can get peaky and saturate in a strange fashion so using a comp will attenuate this. With a drive pedal in front it's softened a bit. If you use a drive after it, it might sound too agressive.

Nice I have a Particle Accelerator too. I just put a high gain JJ 5751. Im talking like 90/90. It’s basically a 12ax7 but it doesn’t break up much at all and you can use the tone controls a little more but it’s still bass heavy.

Yea I bought a couple menu diving multi effects but never used them. Too much to learn. I’d like something simple. But I really need it to have the ability to play backing tracks via headphones before I drive my family crazy with my 65 watts total of stereo. 😂😂 I’ve owned a couple of the AMT and boxes and they’re pretty damn good. I ran a P1 or 2 into a DLS, just for the Marshall tone, into my preamp in and you’d be suprised. Trying to get Adam Jones tone although he uses a diesel as well. Do yours let you play backing tracks?

ahh yes, the legend 2 series of AMT is awesome, but found some pedals are better than others. Had The C2, B2 and S2, being B2 my favorite.
The Pangea doesn't have headphone out but has an aux in so i guess you can do the playback thing :). Also, the output can be set to "phone" level but i think you need the computer and the app (i use it that way).

About the PA and tube, mine is an EHX 12ax7 and don't find it to drive that much, it gets pretty overdrivey with bass guitar tho. On guitar is runing at 2 o clock and just adds a nice saturation but is not breaking up yet.

Here is the picture of the AMT Pangea and the aux in:
