Yay another switch popping thread. Anyways looking for thoughts here.
Switch popping on both green and blue sides.
It is worse the higher the signal, both gain knob and volume increase it.
I’ve built several of these and don’t recall having the issue, but also the volume does need to be up a bit before it shows up to we’ll call them annoying levels. Rapidly pushing the switch seems to cause it to diminish, then it comes back. During the rapid switching, no pause. The rapid switching effecting it seems capacitor related to me.
Tried the amz resistor and cap from led, no change.
Reflowed all solder joints no change.
Swapped from daiertek 3pdt to sbp 3pdt pro 1kg no change
Removed LED from blue side no change to blue side
Replaced blue side 4u7 electro output cap with a 1u tant, no change
Next up is trying a 1u film cap.
I looked at the mr. Black switch popping article. And may try the resistor cap in series on the input as he describe, but not sure of where to start in value. Sounds like 1M is good place to start for resistor but for cap? Looks like youd run tthese from the circuit in pad on the 3pdt board to the effect in (unless theres a better way I’m not thinking of).
