proper power supply for ts 101 solder iron

19.5 24v 2000 mA max

Is this sufficient power source for the iron, and what are the optimum settings? the iron calls for 65watt . ok i think i figured out 24v will provide 65 watts of power so that will be good setting for adapter? thanks for all help BTW the only thing i am working on are guitar pedals,

I have a Pinecil, similar to the TS101, and use a 65W 20V phone charger with a PD USB port. This was the maximum power the iron accepted when I bought it.

what i have is 48 watts? maybe that's why the iron does not work to heat up i tried 15v then 24v . i can scroll thru menu but when i try to power on it it shows tip res +7.3 then goes to settings options no temp display, i thought 24v would translate to 65 watts

Watts law: volts x amps = watts.

24vdc x 2A (2000ma)= 48 watts.

That'll getcha like 2/3 of the way here. Not quite enough. PD USB type C adapters are plentiful: lots of phones these days use 65 watt charging.

Jesus what a pain in the ass to find a power supply. ! so maybe my phone charger with a long type c cord! ok thanks appreciate the information
