Question pastel preamp /preamp knob question

Hello I just put together the pastel preamp and it sounds great but if the preamp knob is turned past 80 percent the pedal cuts out almost sounds like it goes out of bias and loses sound … I’m using 2n6428 from mouser and a j201 from guitarpcb. My question is this normal? Other than that the pedal sounds fine..

potentiometers have a tolerance of +/- 20% so maybe it's pretty far outta whack?

Yeah was thinking maybe I used the wrong pot but I don’t think I did …butt basically if the knob was numbered the preamp knob it would cut out around 7-10 .. I’m not a person who likes to peg all the knobs I was wondering if anyone else who has built this pedal if they have the same issue. My luck it’s probably not normal

I guess it’s the PRE knob is a pre volume knob.. I do have the correct pots in the correct places.

Also I noticed the high frequency switch only seems to work when the high pass switch is in the up position. Is this normal to that high frequency which only works when the pedal is in high pass.? I will check all the R resistors I sometimes mistake them K.. if this isn’t normal.

I notice I mixed up R37 and R38. It the front page is bad I just followed what was on the board .. this probably isn’t my problem if this even is a problem
