Sanding (Is) The Pits

@jwin615 - looked for an assorted pack of those Sand Demon (aka SandNET?) discs, but I think they're only available in the 5" size... That's a shame, because they look perfect. I'll have to pick a few grits and just get em a la carte.

I saw both the SandNET ones and the Hook And Lock discs - it looks like the H&L have the suction holes, but the SandNET doesn't... Wondering what to go with if I get that Dewalt orbital... Although maybe bits of aluminum can be suctioned through the SN ones even without the holes..?

It's is sand net. I can't find the variety pack either. I had grabbed it at home Depot around fathers day iirc(always tool sales). May have been a one off just for HD.
Any dust should go through the discs. Though, I don't use a vac when I use them. A couple of drops of water and some paper towels does the trick for me.
The course grits will kick up some wood dust though

Very weird to offer it in one size but not another!

The diablo stuff is definitely high quality, but it's priced accordingly.

I've also had good luck with cheap off-brand abrasives.

I got some from this brand last year that seemed fine.

That's a pretty good deal. I'm sure the Diablo discs are fantastic, and although I have a super tight budget I'm still considering them. You've used them for (slightly) wet sanding enclosures? Do they last for a couple boxes or are they toast after one? The durability of those Diablo discs seems excellent.

Can't vouch for them wet or on metal unfortunately. I've only used those on wood.
