I built this board almost a year ago but it kept getting pushed to the back burner in favor of more exciting (drive) pedals. I'm making a big push to complete my backlog and this is part of that. I wasn't sure what to expect from this pedal as all the demos online are kinda funky and weird, but it's actually really cool
It's like the inverse of a modulated delay. I don't really like modulated delay because I can never hear the modulation. For me delay has two purposes: make a guitar solo or guitar riff sound like it's in an arena, or do some weird spacey ambient stuff. I really preferred my el capistan for its randomized pitch shifting, and everything else just doesn't sound as good. I built a DMD-2 and a Mag Echo and they both are just too regular to be really trippy. But I sold my el cap and can't bring myself to spend 200 dollars on a used one.
Actually one project I have in mind is two mod delays together with differing delay times and modulation rates so hopefully some of the pitch shifting will seem more randomized and irregular, and you can have two different delay times in one pedal.
Anyway, this pedal is the inverse of a modulated delay, in that you can definitely hear the modulation and there is a subtle delay function as well. It's like a chorus plus some other stuff. It's a welcome fresh take on a chorus pedal. I haven't had my CE-2 on my board in two years.

The rate control is quite rapid on this circuit, so I have it dialed way back.
