Seabed Delay with space for an extra 10K resistor

I am building a Seabed Delay and noticed there is space in the PCB for an extra 10K resistor which is not reflected in the build document. Does anyone know if this 10K resistor is necessary and if not necessary, do I need to close the circuit by adding a jump wire where this resistor should be?
Here is a picture of the PCB with the drawing of the PCB from the build doc. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

without digging into the build doc, I'd say put the ICs in there and test it. But that's just the impatience in me talking, lol

For the " I wanna play it now" answer, I'd say put it in. Your right, it's not in the doc., and IME, the pcb rules over the doc. If it turns out you don't need it, just clip it of the board. I'm sure someone that knows better will be along shortly...

Follow the board. I put one on my build and It works perfect.

I built mine by the PCB, works great, when in doubt I always follow the PCB

R22 is a pulldown resistor on the output that wasn't present on the original schematic that was used years ago.

The pedal will work perfectly fine without it, but might have some popping while switching on and off.
