Just like other jhs adjacent circuits that I've built, I like to be clear how I feel about Joshy and keep it rainbowy... but enough about my troll like tendencies.
This one surprised me a bit. I wasn't expecting it to do the volume clean up. When I got the pcb I was shocked to find that it required only a 4558 and a handful of caps n resistors. I was pretty skeptical, especially since it's a 2 knob 70s era fuzz though it was nice that I had everything I needed to build it up.
So it doesn't get into crazy territory, at maximum it's big and fuzzy but backing the gain down it gets into the mildness pretty quickly. While there's no tone knob, the tone knob on the guitar comes through so there are toans to find.
Also, it didn't do much for me on bass but hammering out big chords on my tele was glorious. So yeah, no regrets on this build.
