Shamwah inductor

Has anyone built a shamwah and know of any specific inductors which will fit in the pcb?

Has anyone built a shamwah and know of any specific inductors which will fit in the pcb?

The board will fit literally an inductor out their with the multiple holes in the board. I went with a halo inductor like the original bbe. I also preferred the halos in general, of all the different types I think they just have "that" sound when I think of wahs.

Thanks for that. I'm still looking for a donor wah to use and once I have that I'll find a halo inductor somewhere. I was a big fan of the bbe wah I had and genuinely don't remember why I sold it.

Over the years I've had various crybaby models, a couple vox, a fulltone and Morley. This is the first one I was really happy with and haven't wanted to mod or change anything on. You probably sold it because something was supposed to be better. Even when we are truly happy with our gear we look for reasons to be dissatisfied with it.

Probably. I've had some different crybabys and voxes too. My favourite was an old vox I picked up from a second hand store for next to nothing but it ended up breaking. I gave it to a friend who said they could fix it but ended up pulling a disappearing act and moved overnight when they got into some financial troubles and I never saw it again. This was long before I had any clue how to use a soldering iron.
