Long story short this pedal and I just haven’t gotten along. the first time I built this it worked on the Auditorium but didn’t when I housed it. Second go I just made a stupid error. Thankfully third time is a charm. Luckily I had a friend send one or two, maybe even 3 boards to redeem myself! It was worth it!
This has probably become my new favorite transparent overdrive…which is why I kept building it. It reminds me a little of a Timmy but with the clarity of a king of tone. It’s not quite a soft under the fingers as a Timmy but it makes up for it by retaining your amps original character. I’m sure adding another set of diodes would give you the feel…could be a nice mode to add them on a switch. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting a transparent overdrive but not into the whole Klon mixing your clean signal in which never sounded right to me. Despite the number of attempts this is a very easy build.
