Finally after populating pcbs and not having all the correct parts and even completely screwing up my Golden Falk build I managed to complete one and it feels great! This is Sheepy Loves take on the Vemuram Jan Ray I believe with some mods by Chuckd. I’d never played a Jan Ray before but have played a Timmy. Having been without one for so long it’s great to have one back on the board! This is just a great sounding overdrive circuit. Nice lay out and easy build. This is stompboxparts blue color, I forget the exact name, with white cupcake knobs. Only snag I hit was there only being one ground point on the board so I had to do a little jumpering with some buss wire but no big deal. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a Timmy style od. I haven’t figured out if I’m gonna attempt to drill a hole on the back plate for easy access to the bass trimmer. Currently just have it set to 50% which I suspect is a tad high because I have the bass low on the front. Even so it sounds great.
Figured what better guitar to pair with this pedal than Ol’ Red which stays in E flat tuning. They sound great together.
