Sheet metal enclosures... inspire me

My gun has fixed voltage. It's a basic setup, no adjustments. I don't know what the voltage value is

Ahh I see! The thing with this powder is if you go to heavy then you just get a brown messy blob...the clear nature doesnt help. Maybe go heavy on the face and pulse the trigger on the sides that you, you can avoid buildup!

Here it is - first enclosure in transparent copper.
You can see powder buildup near the edge of the bottom lid.
I had to redo the main part of the box. Soaking in acetone, etc.. Then: thick coat -> oven -> another coat over hot box -> oven -> another coat over hot box -> oven. I wanted a slightly darker color, but it's better than overdoing it and having streaks.

You are right on the kerf being so much smaller. I can tell when you start bending the enclosure its going to look seamless! Im a big fan of that look.

Very slick looking enclosures! Very creative!

Hmm, if you made them somewhat trapezoidal (wider at back than at front), when they would be placed side by side they would form an arc...
Might make the stompbox look a bit like a coffin, though - or maybe that would be cool, who knows?

Example of trapezoidal shape. I didn't mean to suggest making exact copies of these, more the general body shape adapted to your sheet metal bend technique.

Anyway, great stuff!

By the way, what sheet metal are you using?
Obviously steel is stronger and cheap.
But aluminum can be anodized to generate slick colors...

Thanks :)

I think I have trapezoidal shaped enclosure in a design stage, somewhere on a hard drive.

Aluminium. It's easier to work with.
