Sherwood Low Distorted Signal

Hello, I have been trying to make the sherwood pedal but I am running into an issue. When I hook the pedal up to my guitar and amp (without pedal enclosure) when strumming there is little to no noise coming through. I can hear the strumming if I turn the volume up really high but even with that the notes are distorted.

I am assuming that I have a short or an increase in resistance somewhere but I've been looking at this pedal for the better part of 2 days and can't figure it out. I have three things in my mind that I feel could be the answer.

1. The resistor values all appear to be correct before I solder them but when I put them in the board they seem to decrease

2. I have a cold joint somewhere

3. the large teal capacitors I used have a high voltage radical of 1.25kV

Here are some photos of the build.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

It's really difficult to see or trace anything clearly

We'd need an image looking down on the board so we can see all component values and orientation

I can't see how you've got your pots wired they should go to the underside of the pcb so may be working backwards
