Hi all,
Curious about the Ge PNP transistor in the Sidecar/Pillion. Docs say a Ge diode can be substituted. I'm assuming this means that the transistor is acting solely as a diode and not as an amplifier. If so, does this mean that the hFE or any other parameters, save Vf, don't matter? I tried swapping in some different Ge transistors, and got little to no change, whereas the overall gain definitely changes when swapping the Si transistor.
Thanks!
