SimiSmile Fuzz no sound

Hi! I bought the SiliSmile fuzz kit from stompbox parts and put it together. However I can only get sound when the circuit is bypassed. I've tried using a test tone and probe to see if the signal is getting through, but I am getting static. One day I managed to get the fuzz signal by placing my thumb onto the contacts of the footswitch, so I am wondering if something is messed up around there. Here are a few pictures of the circuit outside of the enclosure for reference. This is my first build and first time soldering PCB components, most of my experience with soldering has been on cables. I know my soldering could use some work. I'd love to get this thing up and running, but I don't know what else to troubleshoot.

First things first: go back and touch up all solder joints. Just touch the tip of the iron to the joint for 3 seconds…

If still no joy we can move on to step 2 and 3…
Looks also like some joints (esp. on the footswitch and the footswitch to board joints) look like they need a tad more solder. If you are getting intermittent signal when pressing on the footswitch, that might be it. Generally, once you solder in a wire, it should be firm in the lug/solder point with no movement. Fluffing the footswitch joint is pretty common, and I always tug on my offboard wiring to make sure it's solid.

Other than that, everything is wired correctly and your components look to be correct and in the proper orientation.
