SIZE QUEEN TC-1 says "no component" but it's in there...

So I'm building this Lectric FX Karaoke Chorus pcb and I go to the test my tiny 5pf ceramic disk capacitor and the TC-1 says no component or broken component. So I pulled out the big gun and tested them on the DCA55. Same thing. No component. The build doc calls for 4.7pf capacitor. Should I just shove these little "no component" 5pf caps in there and call it a day? I think maybe they are just SOO small that the TC-1 and DCA55 couldn't feel anything....

Parallel caps sum right?

Can you double it up in the tester with a bigger cap and figure out the difference?

parallel caps summed right. tested with larger component and they registered 5pf. Good call.

Yeah. They don't do low pf.
I usually grab a 100pf or the like and parallel them for anything sub 50 or so. The adcopy claims 25pf-100u
I can only imagine that on the edge of capability isn't that accurate either.
