I built this thing a long time ago, but I finally got my act together on ordering the UV print from AmplifyFun. It’s been living in a 3D printed enclosure for about 2-3 months so (as you can no doubt tell), I left the wire runs too long because I just wanted to FINALLY give it a proper home.
I really dig this pedal. I have amassed and built so many “dirt” pedals over the years, I’m starting to really enjoy these kind of “flavor” circuits, like this and the EP-PRE. I love to stack gain pedals in all sorts of combinations, but at the end of the day, I’m lucky enough to have been given an original 1965 Deluxe Reverb 38 years ago in high school (my friend said his family “had an old amp in the basement” if I wanted it)! And I just restored and modded a transitional 1964/53 Gibson GA-19RVT Falcon. Both amps have their own brand of beautiful natural tube breakup that (despite my pedal addiction), more and more I want to hear with less adulteration.
I’m open to suggestions for more builds with this kind of “experimental” / historic, complementary sounds rather than substituting for my organic tube drive.
