I heard you like stacking overdrives...
Finished my latest 1590G "stack here" yesterday, and tried putting them all together. From the top:
Fun fact, the Box Of Rock inverts the phase of the signal, and it was sucking out a lot of the mix – so, without a phase inverter on the mixer, I added an SHO boost to the path, which also inverts the signal, flipping it back. (I want to add a phase inverter to the splitter-mixer, but it's a bit, uh, snug in there already...)
Internal pic is of the Box Of Rock from yesterday afternoon. The empty socket is for a remote switch, to be added later with a relay, already added on the Hotcake.
The whole "stack here" thing came about as a space-saving thing for my tiny board, which uses a loop switcher, hence no kickswitches. (Normally the double SHO lives under a mini EQ pedal.) I can't resist a good gimmick or a stupid joke, so the format was born.
Some day I'm going to paint them up and add some decals. Until then – what should I shove in a 1590G next?
