Stripboard help

I'm planning on doing my first non PCB build with the schematic attached

My question is regarding the LED + on the left side. Does it make sense for the + leg of the LED to go there or is it a typo? It doesn't make sense to me and I haven't seen any other stripboard layouts with any LED attachment

It does make sense. It's connected to the Vc supply and has a series current limiting resistor (i.e., the 4k7 two columns to the left of the bottom J201). Sometimes layouts will include them. Connect the cathode to the foot switch so that it is grounded when the effect is on.

Keep in mind that not all stripboard layouts have this in there for the LED
