Hi folks !
Here is my first post with my Sun Flower aka Sun Face, made with a PedalPCB kit from Musikding.

The enclosure is from Tayda, and I made the artwork with some free AI sun file I found somewhere on the internet and with a template from dnmCrawler (very useful templates ! (y))
The kit from Musikding is very nice, and the PedalPCB PCB is very well done, very easy to mount !
The sound is very good, but the volume control is kinda weird : I have no sound with the volume under 12 o'clock .
Is that normal, or made I a mistake somewhere ?

👋 hi! Nice build. Do you by any chance live in Europe since buying from musikding? I’m asking cause of your enclosure. I live in Denmark and buy musikding kits but envy those cool uvprinted tayda enclosures. How much for shipping + what’s the time frame to Europe?

This is a good article that gives lots of info about biasing a fuzz face and the voltages to try and hit.

Hi ! Thanks a lot !

Yes I live in France, and this is my 4th Pedalpcb kit I bought from Musikding, always nice kits !

For Tayda, it's not so difficult to buy UV printings from them, you have to carefully follow the instructions on their website, and of course be a little familiar with some vector application for the design (even if I'm far from a pro with this vector tools).

The price for that type of enclosure is not so expensive : almost 6€ for the enclosure, 4€ for the UV printing, 2€ if you want gloss finish (I have this option on this pedal), so between 10 or 12€ (undrilled but they have that option too, even for Pedalpcb kits wich is nice !)

But the shipping has increased recently... You have to use DHL express which is almost 15€ if I remember well, plus import taxes for 25€ (!!!).

On the other hand, it took only one week to arrive since the day I placed the order, so pretty fast (fabrication + shipping from thailand)

So it's more interesting to place a big order (I ordered 4 enclosures the last time, the shipping and taxes were the same than my previous order with only 2 enclosures...)

Hope it helps !

Thanks ! I'll check that !

I tried different settings yesterday evening, without noticing a huge volume difference, just more or less "fuzz".

Anyway that's not a big deal, since I love the sound with volume and fuzz almost at max !

Those voltages are always just a starting point. I quite enjoy an under-biased fuzz face.
