Swapping a capacitor on the Kliche Overdrive PCB

Can someone tell me what the 390pf ceramic capacitor does (C8) on the attached diagram? I'd like to finish this build, but I'm missing that particular component. I have a 330pf film capacitor or a 470pf ceramic that I might socket until I get a cap with the correct value. Thoughts on how that might affect pedal performance? Any help in much appreciated. Thanks and happy new year!

That capacitor tames the high end in that gain stage. You can substitute either there. If it were me, I'd use the 330p
Awesome. Thank you. So in this case, the lower value will tame a little more of the high end gain. Is that correct, or do I have it backwards?

Backwards. The higher the value, the more highs get attenuated in that circuit block. You probably won't hear the difference between the 2 if you socketed the component and A/B'd them

Ok, got it. Thanks for the clarification. I will definitely socket the cap, and A/B when I receive the correct value. Appreciated.
