Taxes and import duties going crazy in Germany??

This morning Hugo wrote to tell me that DHL contacted him saying that they were trying to deliver the package but they were not able to find me and to act urgently.....???
As I said....they scratching the bottom...
How would you call this psychological pressure to just enforce a wrong payment....??
Burn Babylon burn
Well, if anything, when the courier starts harrassing their client, said client might be actually be prompted to start working with another courier instead... I hope so, from reading along with your awful experience here.

Also, while there's plenty of really awful delivery guys, most just want to do their job, but are pestered by the higher ups. DHL is a really bad company to work for.

Now that I'm checking better my emails
This was the email from DHL when sent the package so from what I can see in the screenshot Hugo made a pretty regular declaration already....I'm wondering why I had to explain the content of the shipping with 4 days of emails including datasheets and all.....and then I have to pay them that much for that kind of shitty job
Pfff

Maybe you just got unlucky with an extra unmotivated worker. It sucks but it happens. Machste nix :)
I opened a ticket yesterday with Tayda asking whether the DDP options will be coming back any time soon, and as of now it seems they're available again for Germany. I hope it stays that way. It sure is nice just paying everything up front knowing there won't be any more holdups and hiccups before delivery.

Wow. That is nuts! For us in Australia Tayda is the place that makes this hobby affordable. But bureaucracy has stopped me from building amplifiers. A lot of the stuff (most?) I need to build a great guitar amp comes from the US and the cost of shipping has skyrocketed over the years to the point where the shipping is the biggest cost involved.

It sucks a lot but no worries....I will rebalance the bill with DHL with nails and potatoes
A couple of tires and we are good

Yeah man DHL taking care of customs is like a lottery now....or a russian roulette....

This whole thing made me only order encloures from Tayda. I order parts locally or international via Amazon.
The DDP shipping is huge! Sounds like a game changer.

Just out of curiosity, I'm also in EU. What items do you need to order from Tayda that aren't available in EU shops? I've been building stuff for a few years now and musikding and retroamplis had me covered with 99% I needed so far. The only exceptions I can think of were a handful of not so common diodes, opamps and jfets that I got off ebay in the end.

Nothing that isn't available in Europe from several vendors. Tayda is just a lot cheaper and has a huge catalogue. EU stores are always out of stock, case in point Musikding

I had the same problem. Even with DHL and UPS.
The first order I made was with DHL. I got question for over a week, even if Tayda declared the package. But the customs was normal.
I was so pissed of that I ordered my second order with UPS. They send me the package right away but after two weeks I got a bill for the customs. 81€ for a 45€ package ! I made a contradiction, since that I don't hear anything from UPS. The third order I made with DHL again.
Same procedure like the first time. It was a 32€ package ... got the customs yesterday. 48€ ! I also made a contradiction but DHL refused it right away!
Today I saw, that Tayda already offers shipping with VAT included again.

Guys I have good news!!!
I just got a message from Hugo and he says he will help out with that payment.......what an amazing guy ..... unbelievable!! But wait....here the best part:
He is gonna bring back DDP shippings as option!!!
Oh yeah....
I think we have a VICTORY
Hope so, i always hesitate to order stuff because of shitty fees (also eu, but not germany)
