Reviving this necro-thread.
It should be mentioned that my test box is similar to the Auditorium PCB here. Clip the alligator leads to IN/OUT/9V/GND and you're good to go. The stomp switch activates and goes to bypass. There is a built in banana plug to plug in your DMM lead to act as an audio probe (not part of auditorium). That gets activated with the other switch. Simple, to the point, and with a nice feature on it that I added (probe).
Toward the end of last year I was working on my Buddyboard and stole a bunch of LED bezels from this and since then one of the LEDs shorts out occasionally. Sooooooooo........it's time to operate. I open up the back and I see this.
Yeeeeesh. Don't get me wrong: if it works, why fix it? The basic functionality of my test box works just fine. But, I mean, look at it. I think it's time to clean everything up. And that's exactly what I did this morning and on my lunch break today.
LEDs got replaced along with chrome bezels in lieu of the plastic ones. Most of the wire was stranded and replaced it with solid core (IMO, solid core is much easier to work with) Oh, and the DPDT switch got replaced with a short lever one just because.
And the final product. Drum roll please
I'm posting this mostly as a reminder to myself of how far I've gone in my electronics/pedal journey over the past few years. Once you get more builds under your belt you'll start paying attention to more detail and start to amaze yourself.
