I was search to see what the Mofeta sounded like un-modded but came across this:

I have not tried the Plexifeta as an overdrive pedal into the front of another amp as I am using it as part of an ampless rig. In my case, it works extremely well, plus I have the option to use a Source Audio EQ2 after it if I need more tonal shaping than it has and my HX Stomp can provide.

Having said that, I would believe that the Plexifeta would have a little more range on the controls than the more scooped Mofeta. Try running the tone control values through the Duncan's Tone Stack Calc to see if the curves look like they would be better suited for your application. You can also modify the tone control values to achieve what you are looking for.
