The arachnid has 1uF MLCC caps in the audio path. Any harm using 2.2uF MLCC caps?

It should be fine to use 2u2. All the 1uMLCC caps on the arachnid are signal coupling caps, so going larger wouldn’t cause an issue (lets more lower frequencies pass, but all the 1u values already pass all guitar frequencies so there shouldn’t be an audible change). The only exception is C10 which stabilizes the REFP pin per the datasheet. I found a thread on the fv-1 forum that confirmed larger values here is ok.

I’d be curious to hear if there’s a specific reason it would cause a problem that I’m missing.

@MaxDB54 I think 2u2 MLCCs will work just fine. For extra peace of mind you could message pedalpcb directly. Or install sockets for all those caps, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

I looked up the Spin Semi FV-1 data sheet and the sample circuit has 3.3uF caps so should be good to go! Thx!
