Thermionic distortion

Hey guys. Im going to get into a Thermionic distortion pcb today…. My problem is I don’t have a 120p ceramic. I do have 100p and 150p. Do you think it would cause a hugely noticeable difference? My instinct says no…. But I haven’t checked the schematic. Thanks.

Yep, you should be fine - I'd probably use the 150p but you might not notice any difference. Those caps across the feedback resistors are usually there to prevent oscillation and/or to reduce gain in higher frequencies so the distortion isn't too hissy.
My guess was a sort of fizz killer capacitor. Thanks man.

That's true, if you have a couple of 56pF caps you could solder the legs together.
For this particular thing, my laziness > my fussiness.
Yeah I might do that. But like you I’m lazy sometimes haha. To be honest I’ve never detected a difference when swapping slightly different ceramics. Maybe just lucky.
