My Crybaby made a crackling fizzy sound and died while I was using it. I had changed the pot years ago, and it checked out ok, so I checked the TDK 6103 inductor. It has 4 pins and I only had continuity across 2. YT video said I needed continuity across two pairs, so I decided to replace it with a Fasel Inductor. While I waited for the Fasel to arrive, I changed out the 9v battery clip. Put in the inductor and no sound. Not even bypassed. I read about someone changing out the old caps, so away I go.
Well, one of the solder pads got damaged, and now I'm hoping I can just solder the new cap direct to the resistor. I saw a YT video on repairing with copper tape, but I don't think it will work. I think the no sound issue was a cold solder on the battery clip. I won't be hearing from any headhunters from NASA soon but, I know I should have fixed one issue and tested before moving to the next. Attached is a pic of the mess I made. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

From the looks of it, the lifted pad will be easy to deal with since it appears that it's connected to the component right beside it.
You can probably just ugly bridge solder across when you solder in that component. Looks like a pretty simple layout!

Good news! That's what I was hoping for. What started out as something simple turned into a can of worms. I'm hoping the cold 9V solder was my issue aside from the inductor. I have Sprague Orange Drops on the way and will follow your advice. Thank you!
