Thought I needed less volume, turns out I needed more.

So, I recently purchased a Fryette PS-2 in the hopes of getting my TH30 just a hair quieter….. Once I hooked up the PS-2 I quickly realized that the TH30 can sound pretty great even at lower “bedroom levels” by itself and any further drop in sound by the PS-2 was quickly negated by the internal fan in the unit. Don’t get me wrong, the PS-2 is awesome, but probably meant more for a 100W head than my TH30. So, I decided to return it and got my dream amp -a Rockerverb 50 mkiii and boy am I glad I did. It sounds every bit as good as I had hoped. A huge plus is that with the built in attenuator on the RV I can actually get this 50w monster quieter than my TH30. I was going to sell my TH30 to help with the extra $$ of the RV, but they actually sound very different from one another (both clean and dirty). One doesn’t sound better than other, I love them both. So, I guess now I need another cab.

I was looking at prices of cabs yesterday (absolutely don't want or need one. Why am I like this?) And was totally disgusted. I'm also a full orange fanboy. The rockerverb attenuator is great. Everything about the rockerverb mkiii is great

I’m thinking about picking up an open back PPC212 to go with my closed back. I’m telling myself I need an extra cab so I don’t accidentally turn one of the two amps on without being connected to speakers -or at least that’s what I’m telling my better half.
