I'm looking into making a DIY line isolator for running a DSP guitar pedal direct into a PA, similar to the mono 1/4" input to XLR in the Miso direct box.

Pinstripe says they're using a Jensen transformer in their Miso box, and Jensen has this schematic on their web site. It seems like it has the same external jacks and switch setup as the Miso. I'm not that familiar with these, could it be this simple or is there likely some other support circuitry inside the box?

 
Yes, it is most probably just a passive DI box as in the schematic. They also have the "thru" option, which should be easy to implement..
 
so a follow-up on this one: the JT-11-DMCF in the Jensen schematic is $90 and seems a lot more heavy duty than I would expect a line out signal would require. Would any 1:1 transformer with a similar 600 ohm impedance likely work for this application?
