I tried this into an audio interface back to back with an IR and it's good. Obviously each IR/cabsim is different and this isn't actually doing the same thing so you can only expect so much. IDK how well it would stand up for everybody in a proper shootout with their favorite cab, but if you are considering building one of these and have a good use case go ahead and try it out cuz it does sound good as it is.

I don't have much of a use case for it and mostly built it to have another utility piece. Maybe I should put it in a case with the ppcb headphone amp? Still gotta test that it works too. I considered putting the two into one enclosure but didn't want to lock myself down.

This is really a pedal where I wish I had labels. Maybe it's a good contender for a faceplate? For the people too lazy to do decals themselves?

Looks great, I bought a 125b and 1590xx in that finish. I may never find the nerve to take a drill bit to those things. Too pretty for use.

I have a C2CE PARTICLE ACCELERATOR> UNICAB > HEADPHONE AMP insomnia rig at my bench for silent practice/pedal testing. I'm not using my unicab to get any specific sound but this pre and cab sim combo sound great for both guitar and bass so it's convenient for me to be able to just reach over and twiddle when I switch instruments rather than swap pedals. I use this rig every day and kinda wish I'd combined the unicab and headphone amp.
