So I finished my Unicab build yesterday and could not wait to plug it in to test.
To start, here is my setup :
Pedal is powered with a battery.
My bass is plugged in the unicab
The unicab goes to my Rumble 25 (waiting on my headphone amp board to arrive, then be build)
I'm using headphone out on the amp.
The problem, there is some kind of hiss or white noise at any level, but those are mainly affected by the top and gain pots.
EDIT : Testing out of the box, touching the TOP pot shaft definitely affect the noise. My guess is the gain just amplifies the noise.
I guess my question is : is it because it runs through the amp or some poor solder joint somewhere?
I'm mainly working on those late at night when everyone goes to bed, so troubleshooting may take some time.
+ wire is close to ground, but those are not touching.
Thanks!
