Wah pot gear removal

Anybody successfully remove one of these bad boys? It’s from the dead pot of a Wilson Ten Spot II. Got the replacement but it has no gear and it’s a round shaft pot, nobody seems to make a round shaft pot gear and I don’t really want to dremel it into a D shaft.

Things I have tried:

Soaking it in acetone to dissolve the adhesive
Pliers
Yelling at it
Having a few drinks and becoming friends with it
Pleading for mercy

I’m stumped.

Have you tried heating the pot shaft and/or finding something to clamp (not clamp really, but something to allow the pot to dangle while supporting the gear) below the gear and tapping the pot out with a hammer and nail (provided the top of the gear is open and you can see the end of the pot shaft.). Just my 2 cents.

Before resorting to brite force, grab the calipers and take measurements and photos. Also notate a point on the gear vs the taper (like full CCW vs the center lug).
I would slot a flat washer with near the same ID of the lot that's larger than the gear(cut/file/Dremel out the width of the pot shaft to the center hole).
Slide it under the pot and position in a vice then lightly persuade it.
You want the impact to be dispersed evenly.
Also, check eBay and AliExpress for gears. I found a handful that fit 16mm pots(to use as knobs).
