Whammy pitch Octaver fv-1 (SpinCad)

Hello, I want to get the octaves that can only move up and down (bass-treble octave) without changing the same note decision in the whammy pedal. I will use it in the fv-1. I am pretty sure that this is done with SpinCad with a single pot. What kind of drawing should be done as an algorithm? I am a bit new to this and I am looking for your help.
 
I gave that one a shot as well there is a whammy algorithm that you can download from the repository through mas effects ( that’s how I found it, but to be honest the fv-1 doesn’t track as well as you would want ( at least for me it didn’t) both with octave and realtime adjustments of a control pot. YMMV. I’m by no means an expert with this stuff so take that with a grain of salt, it was a fun experiment that worked but my results were underwhelming to say the least. The daisy seed. (Look up PPCB terrarium projects.) that has a ton more processing power and would be much better equipped to try and tackle that project…

Daisy seed. I'll look into it, but I don't want to be overly professional. I've found that the FV-1 provides almost the same effects found in Pog and Whammy-style pedals. Is this true? I'd like to ask you if you could send me the algorithm you mentioned that I can open with SpinCad. I think there's a lot to learn from masters like you, My best regards, my friend.

The FV-1 is capable of providing pitch-shifting effects, but it doesn't do it anywhere near as well as the POG or the Whammy. You could build a rough approximation of these pedals, but it would not work as well, and as @Paradox916 mentioned you will likely be disappointed if you compare it to the original.

Thanks. Is it possible to listen to the whammy code here? Where can I find it? I also asked about an algorithm in Spincad format. The forum you mentioned only has patches. I don't want hex or spinAsm output. What I'd like to see are algorithms that perform similar octave functions with the whammy pedal, for example, and blocks created with Spincad.

If you're set on using SpinCAD so you can listen to patches without FV-1 hardware but aren't trying to learn how to use SpinCAD to write patches yourself, you're going to have a hard time.

Sure, I've started working with Spincad. I also have an FV-1 in the works. Just the effects algorithm, octave drawing examples, and that's it, man.

If that project is an itch you absolutely have to scratch, I get it. But I’m telling you from experience that’s a lot of time effort and a little bit of money into something that’s going to end up on a shelf…. Ask me how I know

🤣… fv-1 is great for things like reverbs and delays, but pitch effects? Not so much… I’m not trying to discourage you, just want you to know what you are getting into. Best of luck, as long as you are having fun that’s all that matters.

Thank you for your information. I will strongly consider your reports. I would like to try and see. I like everything that is challenging. If you could send me your octaver pitch algorithm that I can open with Spincad, I would like to examine it. If you have other pitch shifting algorithms, I would like to open them with Spincad and see them. Best regards.
 
I only made a couple of patches on spinCAD then deleted eclipse they weren’t anything that special, just download the ones off MAS effects… and stop DMing me the same thing you post… it’s getting weird.

Try these two patches. They were created in SpinCAD 10.42
You can tweak them to suit your tastes.

The patches are great, thanks. I have a question. How can I create -3/+3 octaves? For example, can you provide an example drawing in Spincad that will make the note I specify go up or down from the lowest pitch to the highest? Note: I don't want a pitch shift! I just want the note to go up or down a few octaves.

You cannot get ±3 octaves with an FV-1. At best you can get about -1.2 octaves and +2 octaves. I suggest playing with each block's settings. By clicking on a placed block, you see a dropdown that shows any options for that block. Several have a "Settings" option that you can explore.

There is also a lot of good reading on SpinCAD operations here.
Also, you can read about pitch-specific settings here, with some SpinCAD file examples.

Trying to explain how SpinCAD works to a newcomer is extremely tedious as SpinCAD is a rich development tool for the FV-1. It would take too much time to type out what has already been written. All the best.

I do not have a sample drawing. The site I posted above has some SpinCAD file example links on it and you should be able to open those directly into SpinCAD. Do the reading. Nothing replaces that. ;)
