I’ve been considering getting the StewMac Tweed Deluxe kit. What were your thoughts on that build? Worth it?

Just carved out the pick guard, and set the Gold Foil Mini Hums in, Im actually really excited about this one! And yes those are my socks

Actually it’s a Northern Alder, super hard like walnut, it’s the top. The back is northern Poplar

Gotcha, t couldn’t figure out the grain pattern on the front. I bet it will be a spanky sounding guitar. Can’t wait to see the progress.

Preamp boards for my long delayed 100 watt tube bass amp build:
Tube complement is 1 x 12SL7, 2 x 12AU7, 4 x EL34. My own weirdo tone stack feeding Aikido gain recovery section, opamp buffered transformer inverter/driver section, so nothing especially classic going on at all.

Picked this up used. Just have to replace the brake pads, replace the cassette, and I'm off to the races!
