Disliked the small leftover piece after the bend (no idea on how to make that ever look good), so I salvaged this bit from the mod/pitch wheel I cut off, and forced it into shape with a large wood clamp. Had this epoxy polyester repair kit laying around and went at it!

I clearcoated a leftover piece with the original powdercoating. Can't tell the difference alongside a clearcoated black spraypainted piece. So all is well!

Placed an order for a professionaly bend piece of U-shaped steel to fill that long open gap. That 100,- piece of interior steel I bought some weeks ago will have to go to some other project. A quick and easy solution turned out to be a waste of money. Maybe an overhead desktop speaker rack?

How hard did you have to flex that board to get it out with the jacks attached?

A little Chip Quik and you'll never have to do that. You can pull dpdt and 3pdt with ease.

I've never actually tried that before..... but I have good braid and good flux... I usually hit it wil flux/braid.. the the engineers style pump...

Even with a vacuum pump, I find I have to invert the board to get all solder.

It's perfect for pulling switches and an occasional FV-1. It does require clean up but a soldering braid is all you need. I'm still using the package I bought 3 years ago.

The bottom half screws to the top half so no flexing was needed. It's plastic and has a belt clip. It also has an LDR that runs to your mouth offering a different kind of talk box.

**UPDATE** they're junk, do not buy. Mechanically finished after some 1000 cycles (I manually turned them and counted!). Dissection confirmed that they just wear out due to cheap mechanical parts (pot metal or aluminum gear!).

Not really. I was thinking positions 2 and 4 could have associated trimpots to dial in one full-blast pickup combined with one "strategically dimmed for best combined sound™" pickup.

I haven’t plugged this little jet city 5w pico valve in and played it in about 4 years.. Decided to give it a test today and she would barely make noise…
One of the caps had shit the bed so I pulled them all… Never fooled with an amp before..

Funny you should ask. I believe Mike refers to them as nipples. This one just happens to have some unwrapped .

Wow! Holy waste! I just received a JLCPCB order for 100 tiny assembled boards. I got 100 far larger boards, with my little gadgets in the middle, surrounded by V-cuts so I can break them out. Just...wow! WTF??

Two pots and a bunch of red smd leds. This... Could be turned into a dual desktop expression pedal? Just need to remove the spring mechanism that makes the pitch wheel snap back to the center, as I can't think of that ever being useful. Any other fun ideas are welcome!
