Right in the feels......
Sorry to hear that. I dealt with this last year. My first pupper, I picked her up off a farm the year before I met my wife.Ugh. My stick head-heart.
Glad he got outside. Man, this thread got heavy. Here's a short video of one of my cats getting ham!An also animal related, but less heartbreaking headache - I work from home in an unfinished basement. Yesterday coming down the stairs after lunch, this guy was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs. Milk snake. Around three feet long.
I’m sure some of you living in warmer places deal with snakes all the time, but they’re not super common up here in New Hampshire. I don’t mind snakes, but I got bit a couple times as a kid and I learned not to go picking them up. Fortunately I have a roommate who took pity on me and came down and snatched in up and let it go in the yard.

Actually this looks like @bean 's headache
Beautiful dog but look at that thick head of hair! Damn brother, it’s jet black! Here is one of the reasons why I haven't got another dog for 6 years. This is Lily. Here she is pictured as a puppy; I was 16 at the time. The second photo is of her 16 years later and about a month before I had her put to rest.

I had her for half my life quite literally. Driver's license, high school, college, grad school, girlfriends, marriage. She was there during all those milestones.
Then she got old. With previous dogs it was an a easier call to put to rest; not so with Lily. Mylopathy, a growing but benign cancer that couldn't be removed because she was too old. There was nothing outright killing her but age and declining quality of life.
Some days she was perky, others she would throw up and I had to carry her. Emotional exhaustion is real and so depressing. Just know you gave Stick cat a good life.
I would love to get a severance package...Yesterday was my last day at the company. Got an amazing severance package which makes the sting much more bearable. In fact, I may take a couple weeks off before I start my new job.
Looking forward to this new chapter in my life.
That commercial is definitely a headache.Got the double jab on Thursday and have been feeling like trash. Expecting to finally wake up feeling normal today, I was disappointed to discover a middle ear infection on both sides. The backstreet boys playing in the waiting room at my urgent care sounded like aliens. "Tell me whyee!"
