What's your favorite Muff inspired pedal?

I need a new Muff style pedal for an indie band I'm in. What are some cool Muff style pedals I should check out? I'm going to roll my own design but I want to gather some inspiration.

I know about all the EHX variations, but I'm looking for pedals out there that are a little different, but still in the muff family sound wise.

I had a modded out russian style muff that I absolutely loved, but I sold it and I need something a little tighter sounding.

Either the 1973#4 that @owlexifry posted or the Emanating Fist DP-77 Dope Priest, which follows this schematic:

I like the Kewpie (Umbrella Mayonaise) quite a bit, my favorite might be the Sasquatch II. That has a germanium transistor in it so it's a bit tricky - could also be that I just got very lucky with it.

Personally I would definitely put some kind of a mid control on it, a switch or a pot is up to you. The mid scoop is iconic and part of the sound, but you would like for others to also hear that sound, not just you.

I tricked out a Fire Red Fuzz clone I wasn't a fan of, and figured I quite like the noise gate mod - YMMV, but you can also make it so that you can easily revert back to stock (add a 100k trimpot (wired as a variable resistor) parallel to the 100k to ground of the second gain stage). More mods https://www.coda-effects.com/2015/11/big-muff-mods-and-tweaks.html

I'm now working on a Motherboard which has a feedback switch but can't comment on it yet, I figured I'd also try the Cremulator tone stack on that https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/cremulator-a-mosfet-tone-bender.30211/ - basically instead of the more common mid control where you control the high pass frequency, here you instead control the low pass frequency. But it's not ready yet.

By far my favourite Muff-style pedal is the Basic Audio Alter Destiny. It has effectively a 3-band EQ and is capable of lower gain levels, both of which can help to keep things tight and audible in a band. You can get a PCB for it at Sheepy Love if you live in Europe.

Umbrella Company's Mayonaise Fuzz (Kewpie Fuzz PPCB) and it isn't even close - I got a good deal on one in Osaka and fell in love right away when I got home and played it. It sounds amazing on guitar and even better on bass*** when you flick the internal switch, and the doping/1979 toggles also gives it a lot of variety in sound.

I'm going to be building myself one of the Kewpies in the next few weeks and will be giving the original I own to my brother.

***disclaimer: I'm a bassist. I originally used the Big Muff Bass but it wasn't coming close to what I wanted and I sold it after buying the Mayo. Considered the Big Muff Bass 2 but haven't actually gotten my hands on it yet.
