I built this a while ago and just now realized I never posted a build report for it.
So better late than never!

This is the latest creation from Paul Cochrane. From what I've been able to glean reading about it, it's not another Timmy/Tim but at the same time has the same design goals for a clean to dirt boost/overdrive.

There's a clipping toggle similar to the Timmy v3 however, it's much more subtle. You may not even hear any difference in sound unless the gain is turned up pretty high.

Then there's also an "Cut" EQ toggle to fine tune the top end.
The mid control is a new addition to the world of Tim. It's an active mid control and you can crank it to get a more aggressive gain sound.
"Flat" is full CCW.

The Bass control is also active and both cuts and boosts. "Flat" is ~2 o'clock.

So all in all this is a super flexible low to medium gain boost/OD/Distortion pedal that slots into the same general "philosophy of use" as the Timmy
but with a lot more tonal flexibility.

I'm not sure what I did with the mid knob being so cattywampus. I'm going to blame the meds I was taking at the time. :p

As always, Robert's layouts are legendary and this somewhat busy build is no exception. If you're a Tim/Timmy fan, then this is a highly recommended build for the quiver.

I built this one with one of Robert's simple relay boards.

If you look at the PCB it's obvious that the mids control is cattywampus there. It's just Robert's way of messing with your mind.

Either that or I just wanted to write cattywampus. Here we would say skewiff.

Either one is an excellent pedal name!

"Cattywampus", perhaps based on the Roland AG-5 Funny Cat

"Skewiff", perhaps based on the Fuzzrocious 420 — "smoke twice, drill once".

@MichaelW - did you happen to see this post from PaulC himself, where he says R9 (or maybe it's R10) should be 3k3 instead of 4k7? I built mine a while ago, not sure if the PCB silkscreen or BOM has been updated.

I think this was an update by PaulC after release, the values on the PCB do (and always did) match the original I traced.

(Not arguing with the man himself, just saying) :ROFLMAO:
