Pedal building class

Is this a hands on thing? People will get kits to solder? Or is it just a demo?

Good luck, looks like fun.

The class happened today! It was pretty fun and I think everybody was pretty engaged. I hope they learned some stuff. I also suggested to visit the forum for troubleshooting and we all know what that means… @PedalPCB you’re welcome 😉
That makes me smile. Good for you AND them! 🥰
I'll stay out of troubleshooting so as not to confuse them...other members, myself, and the guy who works weekends. ;)

They built an Amentum. We managed to get two of them completely done in 3 hrs! It was exhilarating! Seriously tho, I’m glad we got almost to the end for all of them. It’ll be 4 hrs next time.
It was right in your OP! Man, I need to figure my shit out. 😂

Great choice for a first build. I'm sure they had an awesome time. And what a fun and rewarding experience for you, too!

Second instance of the workshop completed today! Only 3 students but we managed to finish all 3 pedals. Lesson learned: the pre-drilled Tayda 1590B enclosures make no sense.
Congrats on the latest graduating class.

In what way do the "Tayda 1590B enclosures make no sense"?
You'd rather have had pre-drilled 1590N1 for a little more room? Or...?

What did you guys build second time around? I feel a strong urge to go and build the Amentum board I have........

Same build, different class. I’m gonna have a more advanced one and have them build a silicon sun face.
The pre-drilled 1590B have the foot switch hole too high up and the potentiometer hole too low, so there is no room for the PPCB board. I had to drill a second hole for the pot so they ended up with an extra one.
