Hello
Salutations
Greetings
Do any of you have big plans for the upcoming holiday weekend which is the 4th of July?
Howdy!

Before the kids grew up and figured out they could do all of this stuff without us, we’d head across the state line to buy our non ground-bound consumer explosives and compete for either the best display or the worst burn. oooo’s, aaaah’s, and cheers could be heard through the field towards the neighbors, and we would offer our appreciation as well.

The first Independence Day I remember, I was 4. The 4 things I can remember vividly are; my dad cursing the traffic, me burning my hand on a sparkler, and the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen in the sky in my entire life (but again, I was 4 so…). #4 - the ooos and aaahs from the huge crowd. I had never heard anyth…you get the idea. ;)

I did want to send up the drone to video the fireworks display on the lake, and play it back on the TV…it still has some use to me. :ROFLMAO:

Also the 4th of July is not a holiday anywhere except the USA to the best of my knowledge. It's a standard Monday here in the Commonwealth Realms. We did recently have a holiday for the Queen's Birthday which is actually based on the date of her grandfather George V's birthday because Lizzie's birthday is in April, close to Easter. And, in fact, our day off this year was my birthday, the 13th of June. I am old but I had cake anyway. Which I bought.

Happy belated birthday! The one day of the year you’d think they’d let you do whatever you want right?
