Have various trannies, where to use them?

In my builds...?

AF139 — only found reference to this in sales adverts in '69 Wireless World and Practical Electronics '78.
Ge PNP similar to A430, which in turn I could only find one reference in my Antique Radio Classified 1994-08.
Telefunken Datasheet here: https://shop.griederbauteile.ch/info/a/AF139-2.pdf
Siemens Datasheet here: https://www.silicon-ark.co.uk/datasheets/af139-datasheet-siemens.pdf
Subs for AF139 suggested here: https://worldradiohistory.com/UK/Be...of Transistor Equivalents and Substitutes.pdf
So, good for an early Fuzzy type circuit from the golden age of Ge Fuzz?

BC413 — can maybe sub for 2N4124 which in turn can be found in some DOD flangers, chorus; also univibe and theremin builds

BC416 — silicon PNP low noise, could make a sziklai pair with it. NPN partner is BC414. Maybe Si Fuzz Face?
Possible subs: BC214, BC237, BC560, BC309, 2N6003, 2SA854, KT3107B
Boss BD-2, Yaraym's cab sim, phasers, muffs, Bosstone, ToneBender...

BC109 — Colorsound Powerbooster & ODer orig spec (also BC169C, BC184C or BC184L), so could use in place of 2N5088 or similar. About 400 hFE, so Throbak clone of the PB/ODer would be good. Also for PPCB's Aldrin Fuzz (Skreddy Lunar Module) Skreddy Top Fuel, Astrotone Sam Ash fuzz, BAX tone circuit, Harmonic Percolator, check out Beavis mod to BYOC ESV Fuzz (Face), any other Si Fuzz Faces; Madbean Golden Cello, Jordan Boss Tone and derivatives, PPCB Marigold (Jumbo ToneBender), Os Mutante, wah, one-knob fuzz, preamps, muffs, Tycobrahe Octavia, Vox Repeat Percussion, BJF Fuzz 109, PJP's Photon Fuzz...

BC308 — Si PNP, might be a good sub for 2N3906, but check datasheets and requirements for whatever build you have that calls for 2N3906.
hFE
A 120 ~ 220
B 180 ~ 460
C 380 ~ 800
Low noise version is BC309.

As for your Ge diodes, well ... you'll find some use I'm sure.

Thank you sir!

For diodes I was thinking about tape saturation thing. Not sure if I need it.... but the name suggests return to good old walkman days ;)
And there's usually 8-10 diodes required. I have also (not pictured here) several packs of brand new GAZ 17 and similar Ge diodes from 60s/70s.

Powerbooster is one of the candidates on my list. I think I've seen BC413 mentioned somewhere in the Sansamp GT2 thread, but usually there's different transistor on a schematics.

> Yaraym's cab sim
Never heard of it. What's this?

Oh, Simple cabsim by Lart. I'm very familiar with it. Sometimes I put it as onboard cabsim. Great combo with headphones amplifier.

Thanks for the reply.

1T308B (1T308Б) is a germanium pnp, military version of the GT308 (ГТ308). BC308 is also pnp type but silicon transistor.
